How to become an Individual Member (UK)

We offer three levels of Individual Membership to suit whatever stage you are at in your professional coaching career: the online application form is accessible via the JOIN THE AC button below and details of what you need to apply for each level are as follows:

Affiliate

For those with a general interest in coaching. No references are required. Affiliate Members are eligible for all benefits apart from; they cannot vote on AC matters, or have an entry on the AC online directory, or use any AC letters or logo on their stationery or website.

Annual membership fee £63.00 + £12.00 one-off registration fee (a £5 discount is available for full time students).

Associate - there are two entry options:

A - Experience combined with Training:

For individuals who have delivered a minimum of 40 hours of individual/group coaching either in private practice or in a workplace setting and who have undertaken a minimum of 35 hours training with a coach training provider. The AC requires a minimum of 40 hours of coaching delivery plus 35 hours of training.

B - Training combined with Experience:

For individuals who have undertaken a minimum of 50 hours training (in coaching or coaching related disciplines), and who deliver individual/group coaching in either private practice or in a workplace setting. The AC requires a minimum of 50 hours of training plus 25 hours of coaching delivery.

Associate Members have the right to vote on AC matters and to have an entry on the AC’s online directory. They are also entitled to use the letters AMAC next to their name and use of the Association’s marks on stationery and websites.

If you are applying for Associate Membership, you must provide details of one professional and one personal referee and a copy of your coaching qualifications, together with a coaching log/summary and profile/CV.  For further details please see here.

Full Member - there are two entry options:

A - Experience combined with Training:

For individuals who have delivered a minimum of 200 hours of individual/group coaching either in private practice or in a workplace setting, who have undertaken a minimum of 50 hours training with a coach training provider. The AC requires a minimum of 200 hours of coaching delivery plus 50 hours of training.

B - Training combined with Experience:

For individuals who have undertaken a minimum of 100 hours training (in coaching or coaching related disciplines), and who deliver individual/group coaching in either private practice or in a workplace setting. The AC requires a minimum of 100 hours of training plus 150 hours of coaching delivery.

Full Members have the right to vote, have an entry on the AC’s online directory and the opportunity to be voted onto the Council. They are also entitled to use the letters MAC next to their name and to use the Association’s marks on stationery and websites.

If you are applying for Full Membership you must provide details of one professional and one personal referee and a copy of your coaching qualifications, together with a coaching log/summary and profile/CV.  For further details please see here.

Upgrading your membership
